What is the Roma Platform?

The Roma Platform is a project implemented since 2016 by the Department of National Minorities under the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, funded by the European Commission. The full title of the project is “Lithuanian Roma platform – going local.”

Project goals:

To strengthen cooperation with municipalities;
To empower the Roma community, especially youth and women;
To combat negative stereotypes and discrimination.

In pursuit of these goals, we:

Employ Roma mediators;
Provide legal consultations;
Organize training sessions, camps, and self-help groups;
Exchange experiences with other countries.
