Congratulations on International Roma Day!
Latšo Internationaalo Romanengo Diives Tumenge!

April 8 is traditionally celebrated around the world as International Roma Day, dedicated to raising awareness of Roma culture, history, and rights across the globe. This day was established in 1990 during the Fourth World Roma Congress held in Poland.

To mark the occasion, a festive event is being organized at the Visitors’ Centre of the Seimas (Parliament), with participation from representatives of the Roma community, politicians, members of various ethnic communities, and public figures. The memory of those who perished during the genocide will also be honored by floating floral wreaths down the Neris River.
